Improving intersection safety
170th Avenue and Farmington Road meet at an unusual angle and crosswalks are skewed across the intersection, creating long distances for pedestrians.
We will install pedestrian islands at the northeast and southwest corners of the intersection, creating shorter crosswalks. We will also install ADA-compliant ramps with pedestrian signal call buttons, and upgraded traffic signal reflectors and software.
The $900,000 project funded through the County's Road Fund and the Oregon Department of Transportation's (ODOT) All Roads Transportation Safety (ARTS) program.
